GigsEscrow Usecases

GigsEscrow Usecases

For Seller / Trader

If you sell, you need a checkout that does not bounce. If you trade tokens, you need a swap that does not leave one side hanging. GigsEscrow is both a storefront and an on-chain lot desk: files, gigs, and ERC-20 lots priced in USDC.

A desk with three tickets

Product: you upload the file, set a USDC price, take payment through FileFeeRouter, the buyer downloads. Service: you sell time and a deliverable, funded in GigEscrow. Token: you lock an ERC-20 amount in AssetEscrow; a buyer pays USDC and receives the tokens in the same swap.

USDC itself cannot be listed as a token lot. It is the quote asset. That keeps the book readable: everything is priced in USDC, lots are other ERC-20s on Arc Testnet.

Inventory you can prove

A token listing stays draft until you lock the tokens. Buyers are not staring at a “coming soon” bag. When the lock confirms, the lot is live. If you cancel, tokens return to your wallet. If it sells, the swap is atomic: USDC (minus protocol fee, 0% on testnet) to you, tokens to the buyer.

That is how you avoid the classic OTC failure: they sent USDC, you “forgot” the token, or the other way around. One transaction, two legs, no escrow agent on Telegram.

Digital SKUs next to lots

Traders who also ship research, dashboards, or tool ZIPs can list those as products on the same profile. Same wallet, same ratings. A buyer who trusts your token lot can find your file without leaving the marketplace.

Keep descriptions accurate. The 48-hour file window exists so a “full dataset” that is three CSV rows can be walked back. Your reputation is cheaper to keep than to repair.

Fair markets, thin rules

No hidden spread from GigsEscrow on testnet. You set the USDC price. The chain executes. Gas is yours to pay. If a lot does not sell, cancel and unlock — do not archive a locked lot and walk away from the tokens.

Counterparties are wallets. You will not get a KYC packet. You will get an ArcScan link. Trade size you can afford to be wrong about; this is testnet, and even later it will still be self-custody.

How to start

Connect, pick the ERC-20 (not USDC), enter the amount to lock and the USDC price, publish, then lock. For files, List a File. For custom work, List a Gig.

Show the token contract on the listing — GigsEscrow puts it where turnaround would be, with copy and ArcScan — so a buyer can verify they are not buying a namesake.
