GigsEscrow Usecases
For Content Creator
You make things people actually use: LUTs, prompt packs, sample kits, 3D assets, editorial templates, beat stems. GigsEscrow lets you sell the file or take a commissioned gig without chasing invoices or handing a platform your payout rail.
What this is for
Creators get paid when the buyer is ready, not when a marketplace’s payout cycle lands. List a digital product (file) for instant delivery after USDC payment, or offer a service gig when the work is custom: a cover, a character, a mix, a landing-page copy pass.
The listing is public. The money path is on Arc Testnet, in ERC-20 USDC, signed by the buyer’s wallet. GigsEscrow does not hold your keys and does not sit in the middle as a bank. That is the point: a useful checkout that still looks like a normal storefront.
Sell a pack once, deliver instantly
Use List a File for anything that ships as a download: a ZIP, a PDF, an audio pack, a prompt library. Add 1–4 preview images so buyers can judge quality before they pay. An optional free sample is separate from the paid file — a 20-second clip, a watermarked page, a low-res mesh.
After payment through FileFeeRouter, the buyer generates a signed download. If the file is not what the listing described, they have 48 hours to open “not as described.” A refund is a USDC transfer back to the buyer, then download access is revoked. That window is how the marketplace stays fair without a human cashier.
Commissions without “pay me first” drama
When the work is not a shelf product, list a Service. The hirer locks USDC in GigEscrow. You do the work, submit the deliverable, and they release. If they go silent, the contract’s timeout rules apply — including the windows described in the Guide Book — instead of a Twitter argument about who ghosted whom.
Set a real turnaround. The deadline is not decoration: after it, the hirer can ask for a refund path. That keeps both sides honest. Scope lives in the description (max 1,000 characters), so write the format, revisions, and what is not included.
Fairness, not vibes
Fairness here is mechanical. Prices are USDC. Delivery is either a file the buyer can download or a gig the contract can time out. Reviews attach to completed work. Nobody at GigsEscrow can quietly reverse a chain transaction because a ticket was loud.
You still have reputation. A public profile and ratings travel with the wallet. Do not put secrets in titles or descriptions — the catalog is public, and so is the chain.
How to start
Connect a wallet on Arc Testnet, grab test USDC from the Circle Faucet if you need gas and listing funds, then publish. Product listings need the paid file and previews. Gigs need a payout address that matches the connected wallet.
This is testnet today: balances are not cash. The product shape is the same one you would use when the work is real — lock, deliver, release.
