GigsEscrow Usecases
For Hirer / Worker
Hiring on the internet usually fails in the same two places: the hirer never funds, or the worker never delivers. GigsEscrow makes both visible. The budget is locked on-chain before the work starts, and release or refund follows the contract — not a spreadsheet.
Two seats, one rail
If you are hiring, post a Job: title, brief, USDC budget, desired days. You lock that budget in GigEscrow. The listing is not a wish — it is funded. Workers see a real number, not “DOE.”
If you are the worker, you can also List a Gig and wait for hirers to book you, or you can accept a posted job. A job takes one worker. You do not pay to accept. The locked budget is the job.
Hiring without a staffing firm
Write the brief like you would brief a contractor: deliverable, stack, acceptance. Keep it under 1,000 characters. Lock USDC from the wallet that will fund escrow. Until that lock confirms, the job is not public. That stops empty RFPs from clogging the catalog.
When someone accepts, you have a counterparty and an order. Chat stays on the order. Delivery is a URI you can actually open. You release when the work is in. If they miss the turnaround, the refund path is in the contract, not in a DMs thread that disappears.
Working without “I’ll pay after”
Accept only funded jobs. The USDC is already in GigEscrow. You deliver, the hirer releases, you get paid to the payout wallet. If you listed a gig instead, the same lock happens when a hirer books you.
Do not start unpaid “trial tasks” off-platform and then hope GigsEscrow will sort it out. The fairness guarantee is the lock you can see on ArcScan, not a screenshot of a promise.
What “fair” means on a job
Fair is not “the platform sides with whoever has more followers.” Fair is: funds exist before work, one worker so you are not bidding against a silent crowd after you already started, a delivery timeout, and release or refund that anyone can verify on-chain.
Protocol fees on testnet are 0%. Gas is separate. You are not paying a 20% take-rate to keep a job board online. You are paying the network to record that the money moved as agreed.
How to start
Hirers: Post a Job, lock the budget, wait for an accept. Workers: List a Gig or scan Jobs and accept one that matches your stack. Connect the wallet that should receive (or fund) USDC.
Read How it works and the Guide Book for timeout, cancel of unclaimed jobs, and operator windows. Those rules are the HR department.
